El Dorado Disposal operates a range of recycling centers that provide various convenient services. We ensure eco-friendly waste disposal through these facilities, contributing significantly to conservation efforts and fostering a sustainable future.
Placerville
Services

Services
- Placerville recycle center will only offer CRV buy back.
- Cardboard is not accepted at this facility.
- Please take cardboard to the Material Recovery Facility at 4100 Throwita Way in Placerville.
- We will no longer accept E-Waste – E-waste must be brought to the MRF for disposal. 7 days a week 8AM – 5PM.
- We will no longer accept batteries – batteries must be brought to the MRF on Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 9AM – 4PM for free disposal. Household hazardous waste will be closed when attendants tentatively take breaks at 10am, 2pm, and lunch between 12 -12:30pm. Break & lunch times may vary depending on situations and there could be a wait during those times.
- Positive & negative ends of batteries must be taped with clear tape. No duct tape.
- No car, motorcycle, or other large batteries accepted.
El Dorado Hills

- Green waste bin for El Dorado Hills CSD residents only. Maximum of 2 yards of green waste daily, must be loose or in paper compostable bags only. No commercial or landscapers permissible.
- E-Waste Accepted for free for El Dorado County Residents. *No TV's larger than 60", TV's larger than 60" must be brought to MRF at 4100 Throwita Way Placerville.
- Household Batteries Accepted for free for El Dorado County Residents. Positive & negative ends of batteries must be taped with clear tape. No duct tape.
